We are delighted to announce The Writing’s on the Wall, a new creative fund-raising scheme for the Drill Hall in which you can get a name, a dedication, a quote, or perhaps even a lyric printed on a special vinyl label and fixed to one of our distinctive green tile bricks in the cafe bar.
The shorter the message, the bigger the letters and there is a choice of fonts! The idea is a variation on how some other theatres raise money (name plaques on seatbacks etc) but we felt this idea would be more visible, more fun and more Drill Hall! One brick costs just £25.The idea is catching on fast…. we even have a few celebrities who have taken part!
Any money raised will go towards the expansion of our programme of outreach activities for young people. It’s an ideal alternative gift that will help support the arts and keep Lincoln Drill Hall thriving!
To find out how to ‘bag a brick’, please click the link on the right hand side of this page to download an application form. Thanks for your support!
This month (Feb 2012) we’re running a competition to win your chance to bag a brick for free! Simply tell us in your own words how Lincoln Drill Hall makes you feel – it could be funny, moving or just plain pithy and to the point! Watch a clip of our director Simon Hollingworth talking about the competition and send your entries in by the 29 Feb 2012 to sarah@lincolndrillhall.com
Good luck!
