Taking Part: Arts Award

What is Arts Award?

  • A great way for young people to explore creative skills
  • A nationally recognised qualification
  • A framework for learning new skills and sharing them
  • A link between young people and creative professionals in arts and media
  • A rapidly growing award that can be achieved throughout England

The Arts Award can focus around any arts or media activity. At the Drill Hall we are able to offer the Arts Award to those who wish to focus on the performing arts but don’t worry if that’s not you – we can help to put you in touch with an adviser who can support your area of interest.

If Drama’s your thing then you may wish to consider joining our regular youth theatre: Fishtank. The Drama Instructors are qualified Arts Award advisers and can help to support you as you study for your Bronze or Silver Award. We also run summer schools and holiday workshops that might provide the perfect opportunity to work towards the Arts Award. If you’re looking to run Arts Award in your own organisation or school and need some advice or support then we can provide that too.

If you’re already studying for the Arts Award then check out our Arts Award Welcome section and see if there’s anything that we can do to help you get your Award!

For more information about the Arts Award please contact Chelsey Barnes, one of the Project Workers for LOV (Lincolnshire One Venues), email chelsey.barnes@leisureconnection.co.uk to find out more.
