We now hold regular creative play sessions for the under 5s in our café bar every Monday (during term time only). The sessions are run by Rhubarb Theatre and led each week by a different local artist (music, dance, storytelling & making). There are just 20 places each week and accompanying adults go free (the bar is always open for coffee & cake!)

‘Every week our small group of 13 to 18 year olds meet up in the Drill Hall Café Bar to design & develop hip and quirky nights for young people from across the arts! We like to think of ourselves as cultural entrepreneurs and champions of local talent. Look out for The Marmalade Sessions, our free monthly open mic music sessions in the Café Bar from 4.30 – 6ish on the 1st Tuesday of every month. This group is now well established and we’re looking for more people to join us! It’s all about having fun, exploring acting, developing ideas and learning new skills. It’s open to anyone who is interested in doing some acting but without having to commit to a production. Each session will be different and all the content will come from the participants. We aim to provide a fun, creative and imaginative workshop that gives you the opportunity to flex your performing muscles…..
