Lincoln Drill Hall is a little different to your average arts venue. For starters, we are housed in a late Victorian military building! Here’s a brief introduction to our performance spaces.
And please note, we are always happy to reserve you a seat or provide assistance if you have access requirements. Simply email firstname.lastname@example.org or call 01522 873894 – we’ll do all we can to help.
In its standard fully seated configuration, our auditorium accommodates an audience of 370. However, we can remove and reconfigure the seating to create a huge range of staging possibilities, introduce tables for cabaret style events or remove all seating to create a standing venue for gigs for an audience of 550. The configuration usually changes with each production so always enquire at the box office when you book your tickets. Seating is either allocated (numbered) or unreserved which means you can sit wherever you like.
Please click the link to the bottom right hand side of this page to view our allocated seating plan.
With a maximum audience of 55, our studio theatre is used for more intimate studio theatre productions and concerts. Seating in The Room Upstairs is always unreserved so you can choose where you’d like to sit.
The cafe bar is often used for ‘unplugged’ style performances – once again the seating here is always unreserved. We can also remove or reconfigure tables and seating to cater for discos and parties.
The Abbey Room studio is a large, bright, airy space, complete with sprung floor. It is primarily used for rehearsals and performance related workshops. Our Fish Tank Youth Theatre and Full Bloom dance group use this room and local dance and theatre companies find it the ideal space to rehearse and develop projects.
