Thank you for your interest in bringing your show to Lincoln Drill Hall. Below you’ll find details on how to send us the information and what the next step is if it’s something we feel would suit the venue.

WHO SHOULD I CONTACT?

Your first port of call should be Adam Pownall, our Artistic Programme and Participation manager. Please email  Adam with your booking enquiry and production information.

If you can include as much information as possible it’ll help us decide whether your show fits with our artisitic-statement and mission-statement.

THINGS WE NEED TO KNOW

  • Possible touring dates
  • Supporting marketing materials such as video, image, copy, whom you believe the relevant audiences to be, any special selling points
  • Details on the cost or deal required if possible
  • The scale of the work. Our auditorium is incredibly flexible, with seating for up to 365 and a standing capacity of 550.  We have a stage, but can operate with a 212 capacity with a show playing on a flat floor.
  • We don’t have a traditional proscenium arch and wing space is at a premium. Our stage and technical specifications are available here.

SEEING THE WORK

If possible, we do prefer to see the work before programming, or at least know the company’s previous work. If the work is in a development phase, we’ll try our best to attend, and if Adam’s unable to come in person we can usually send a representative. We totally understand that footage isn’t the same as being at a live performance and we’ll take this into consideration, however if you’ve got video to share with us please do send us a link.

Adam has the final say, but he’ll always look to involve other members of staff in the decision-making process to ensure we’re as confident as possible that we can garner an audience for your show. Ultimately, we choose to present work we’re passionate about.

HOW FAR IN ADVANCE DO I NEED TO CONTACT YOU?

We normally programme between 6-12 months in advance so it’s unlikely we’d be able to squeeze something in sooner. Brochure deadlines are available upon request.

Most of our work is programmed for one or sometimes two night runs.  We rarely undertake split or full week bookings.

WHAT IF I DON’T HEAR ANYTHING?

Unfortunately, it’s not always possible to get back to absolutely everyone.  We do try our best though, rest assured.  However, if you’ve submitted work for programming and haven’t heard anything within 6 weeks, then please assume that on this occasion we won’t be taking it further.

It isn’t that your work isn’t brilliant. We’re sure it is! It may just be that it clashes with other similar work at the same time, or doesn’t fit with the look and feel of a particular season, but please don’t be offended if your work is not selected and do keep trying.
