Lincoln Arts Trust announces vital ACE funding for the next four years
Lincoln Arts Trust Ltd is delighted to announce that it has been awarded funding from Arts Council England as part of their National Portfolio for a further four years in a consortium of five arts centres in Lincolnshire.
This funding which runs from 2018 will see £207,194 a year to support the programming and participation programmes of Lincoln Drill Hall, Guildhall Arts Centre Grantham, Stamford Arts Centre, South Holland Centre Spalding and the Riverhead Playgoers Theatre in Louth.
We’re also really pleased that as part of the offer, Arts Council England has agreed to invest an additional £40,000 per year to the consortium to develop a range of outreach and audience development activities.
Lincoln Drill Hall CEO Chris Kirkwood said: I’m delighted that Arts Council England has recognised the value of the work that our venues in Lincolnshire do and what they offer to our wonderful varied communities. The additional funding made available is most welcome and demonstrates a statement of intent from ACE in the quality and breadth of our work.
Peter Knott, Area Director, Arts Council England said: “We’re delighted to be increasing our investment in LOV (Lincolnshire One Venues) over the next four years. LOV works with people in the local area to develop artistic skills and it’ll be great to see our investment help create a community and social development programme to reach new audiences, including children and young people.”
