Looking forward to February half-term? We have loads going on at the Drill Hall!

Are you at a loss as to what to do this February half-term? The Drill Hall is the place for you.

With some of the most magical, educational and engaging shows, there is something for everyone.

The February half-term is very nearly upon us. At the Drill Hall we are excited for some spectacular shows you are going to love. We have our typical eclectic and broad range of performances to come- with theatre, music, circus and comedy all ready to delight you. Try something new this Spring, and see an original, mind-blowing show.


Mirror Mirror (Saturday 16th February)

Mirror Mirror is a mischievous take on the ever-popular Snow White, a tale cherished by generations of children. Red Earth’s new version combines lovable puppets, spirited storytelling and mesmerising sign language.

We Are What We Overcome (Saturday 16th February)

Fresh from a successful run at the Edinburgh Fringe, musician, performer and writer Matt McGuinness presents his debut show as part of a UK tour. Uplifting, anthemic tunes punctuate stories and conversation, shedding light on mental health with self-deprecating honesty and dark humour.


Circus Weekend (17-18th February)

Following Octobers fantastic sell out taster sessions, Carousel Circus School returns with aplomb in February with a jam-packed weekend of professional training in Circus arts. Designed and delivered by The Earth Bound Misfits you’ll find courses for children, young people and adults. These specialist training opportunities will be the perfect way to start 2019, learning new skills and keeping fit through the creative physical arts.

 Sunday 17th February

Monday 18th February

Youth Circus Workshop (6 – 11yr olds) 10:00AM.

Diddy Disco (Tuesday 19th February)

Join us for our hip club for under 7s and their awesome happening parents! We play a bit of everything from current tunes to rock and roll to disco, mixing it up for everyone.

Comedy Club 4 kids (Wednesday 20th February)

This is the comedy show for kids with a huge difference! These are established stars on the international circuit putting on special shows for the whole family, without any patronising idiocy. it’s just like a normal comedy club, but it’s on in the day, kids are allowed in, and thus there is a higher than usual chance of heckles like “why is that your face!?”


The Boy Who Wanted to Fly (Thursday 21st February)

Rhubarb Theatre present a brand-new show – bursting with imagination, dance, music and a healthy dose of Rhubarb magic! Join Billy on his latest quest, as they discover the healing power of stories and try to prove that laughter is the best medicine!
