We have some magnificent music acts coming to the Drill Hall this season. From folk, to rock, to classical music, we have something for everyone in the family. We have listed a few of the highlights that you will love. Go on the website and book now, because we have so much incredible music coming!

 

Yvonne Lyon – 7th March

Yvonne Lyon is among the UK’s brightest and best emerging singer/songwriters.

Her new album, Held, combines poignant lyrics with strong, creative melodies. She has a voice that can be both fragile and intense, so this will not be a show to miss.

Yvonne has supported Eddi Reader throughout the UK, performed with Beth Nielsen Chapman and co-written with Boo Hewerdine. She continues to establish herself as an artist of considerable significance.

Lee Mead – 10th March

It’s been ten years since Lee Mead first donned the coat in the West End production of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.

Join Lee and his amazing band as he takes you through the last ten years of his life. Featuring songs from the classic shows he has starred in, such as The Phantom Of The Opera, Miss Saigon, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, Legally Blonde, Wicked and many more.

Skerryvore – 11th March

Twice winners of Scotland’s Traditional Music ‘Live Act of the Year’ Award, Skerryvore have been on a meteoric journey that has taken them from the remote Isle of Tiree on to International tours that have included performances in Central Park NYC, The Ryder Cup Louisville and the Shanghai Expo, China.

Skerryvore create a unique fusion of folk, trad, rock and Americana. This represents the different personalities and upbringing of the 8 band members who hail from different regions of Scotland.

Mercury – 25th March

Mercury have firmly established themselves as one of the world’s most authentic tributes to Freddie Mercury and Queen. They have a dynamic stage show that fully emulates the true charismatic appeal of rock’s most flamboyant front man.  Callaghan – 19th April

Originally from Lincolnshire, Callaghan moved to the USA in 2010 to record and tour with Grammy-Nominee Shawn Mullins. She has been performing and winning fans with her touring across the USA.

Callaghan plays piano and guitar and delivers a stunning vocal which earns frequent comparisons with artists like Sarah McLachlan and Emmy Lou Harris. Her songwriting chronicles the stories, experiences and emotions which are part of everyone’s lives.
