Things to see in Lincoln this November
November at the Drill Hall
November is nearly upon us, so it seems a fitting time to share some of the brilliant things we have coming in one of our favourite months of shows! We have a whole host of brilliant shows to see before Christmas (and the Drill Hall PANTO!!) arrives, this November. Are you a fan of comedy? We have Tom Stade, two Red Herring Nights, Jason Byrne and Mark Thomas coming all this month! Is it music that floats your boat? RAF Swing Wing, Red Hot Chili Pipers and Elvis Years all return, while we also have a wide classical music selection and a smattering of jazz with Alan Barnes Octet.
We are also delighted that our outreach into the community brings back New Youth Theatre (NYT) once again! New Youth Theatre bring us incredible local talent performing Hairspray: The Musical and The Addams Family: The Musical. After smash hit performances of Beauty and the Beast earlier in the year, NYT promise to put on a yet another show to remember.
Our brilliant participation groups are also busy as ever this November! For those wanting to get involved in a drama group check out Fishtank Youth Theatre, with the super Alice Kinloch. They will be having their classes on Saturday mornings, looking to perform to the public very soon!
For young people who want to try something new, Fretless could well be the group for you! They are a group of young producers who create, organise, market and enjoy their own gigs. This year alone they have been a part of #giveagig, putting on a performance of live music and also had some exciting beat-boxing workshops. All for free!
… and looking to the future!
Whatever tickles your fancy we are sure to have something to offer this November… and then quicker than Santa on 24th December our fabulous Christmas pantomime arrives, Jack and the Beanstalk! (In association with Jamie Marcus Productions). Our panto promises to be our best ever and we would love to see you at our 10th anniversary celebrations.
