2017-2018 – things to bear in mind
At the moment, Lincoln is under construction! Soon there’ll be a brand new bypass and a shiny transport hub in the city, but whilst they’re being built it’s fair to say you may encounter some traffic delays, and might need to spread your search for a parking spot a little wider. It’s a good idea to leave earlier just in case. If we can help with further parking suggestions please let us know.
Broadgate Multi-Storey Car Park is the largest car park in the city with 450 spaces, and lies just opposite the back of the building, a mere 3 minutes walk away. It’s open 24 hours a day and is patrolled until midnight, with access from St Rumbold Street.
There’s also an NCP car park with 70 spaces situated next to the venue, and plenty of Blue Badge disabled parking bays on on Free School Lane and the surrounding streets.
By Train or by Taxi
We’re just a 5 minute walk from the Railway Station. From the main exit, turn right towards the dual carriageway (A15). Turn left up the hill towards the Cathedral. Turn left again after 300 yards when you reach St Swithin’s Church and then almost immediately right into Freeschool Lane. Lincoln Drill Hall is situated 150 yards on the right, immediately after the Central Library.
We’re only a 5 minute walk from the bus station and routes 4, 17, 23, 510, 9811 and the Walk & Ride Shuttle all stop on Silver Street just around the corner from us. Routes 5 and 53 stop close by on Broadgate.
Do visit Lincoln Dial-a-Ride’s website too, or call them on 01522 544983 to see if their services suit you.
There are so many routes into the city so if you don’t have a Sat-Nav, why not download and print off our ‘Directions By Car’ document. It all fits on one page… and there’ll be no “make a U-turn where possible” we promise!
