Lincoln Drill Hall is temporarily closed due to the Covid-19 guidelines from the UK Government.
If you have a ticketing inquiry, please be patient; our staff are working as quickly as possible to process bookings/refunds, but some delay is unavoidable. If you have booked for any events up to and including 30 June 2020 please be patient as you will be contacted by email, phone call or letter in due course. If you paid in cash for a booking we will refund it to credit on your Drill Hall customer account until we can re-open the building, and then you’ll be able to claim it as a refund if you wish. We apologise for any inconvenience but due to government safety guidelines we have no other option. For urgent queries please email firstname.lastname@example.org.

In light of government advice given yesterday Monday 16th March for people to avoid theatres and to ‘avoid all unnecessary social contact’ we, like most of our sector have been left with no option but to suspend out public programme of events and classes for the foreseeable future. This is an incredibly complex and fast-moving situation and it is with a heavy heart that we have taken this decision but the safety of all the people we work with is our number one priority.
With no timescale known regarding the Covid 19 pandemic we feel that we have to follow the advice given to vulnerable individuals yesterday and therefore initially we will not be presenting any events for 12 weeks – until Sunday 7 June 2020. This includes all shows, participation, workshops and meetings.
We will be in touch in the coming days with all customers, to discuss options with pre-booked tickets and want to thank all customers for their kind words both in person and on social media in the last 24 hours. It really helps to feel that support as a small charity. We will be trying to re-book as many events as we can for a later date and will ensure that we continue to communicate with all customers. We do though recognise that Lincoln Drill Hall is seen as a safe space, used by a number of vulnerable people on a regular basis, therefore at this time our café bar will remain open during normal daytime hours. We would also like to reassure customers that at this time, all events from the 8th June onwards remain on sale and we will keep everyone informed regarding these if the situation changes.
We ask that you bear with us whilst we work through this process in the coming days. This is an incredibly difficult time for small scale theatres, arts centres and artists. We have been placed in a precarious position and will manage it as sensibly and calmly as possible. In the meantime, thank you so much for your support and above all else, stay safe and supportive of each other.
The box office will email or call you to provide you with the cancellation/postponement options for the event(s) that you’ve booked.
We realise customers require information on refunds etc and we’re working as quickly as possible, but we would respectfully ask you to please wait for an email, letter or phone call from us rather than calling the box office at this time. We’re dealing with events in chronological order, and we’re a small team so your patience is very much appreciated.
We’ll offer you the chance to:
- Donate your refund to Lincoln Drill Hall
- Refund to credit on your Lincoln Drill Hall customer account, so that you can use this against future events
- Refund your original method of payment
*Please note: once your selection has been made it cannot be reversed.
If an event is postponed we’ll advise customers of the new date once confirmed, and to retain their original tickets. If the new date is inconvenient, customers will be offered the refund options above.
*Please note: once you’ve notified us of your decision to keep your tickets for the new date or to obtain a credit, make a donation or take a refund, this cannot be reversed. Once the deadline has passed we will assume all tickets are being retained for the new date.
PLEASE CONSIDER ALTERNATIVE REFUNDS
The outbreak of this virus has affected almost every industry sector, and it presents a particular challenge to the events sector. If events are cancelled on a widespread basis it directly affects our ability to operate, and may risk our future altogether. With that in mind, if an event you’ve booked for has been cancelled, we are asking you to be kind enough to consider donating the cost of the ticket rather than requesting a credit note or refund. The Arts survive on the Artist/Audience connection – the kind of gathering that is going to truly suffer from COVID-19 precautions, and sadly, venue business interruption insurance doesn’t provide cover for a situation of this kind. Therefore, by donating your refund, you’d be helping to mitigate tremendous losses and preserving live art and its assets in Lincoln.
Of course we totally understand if you’d prefer a refund to your original method of payment, or a credit on your customer account to be used against future events.
If you or someone in your party can no longer attend an event we can sometimes offer to try to resell your ticket(s). We can only offer to do this if the event has sold out, and please note, there is no guarantee of resale. We will need you to follow the steps below:
- Contact us to confirm that we can take your tickets for resale
- Return the tickets to us before the date of the event if possible
- Complete and send us your Refunds and Resales Form
Please note: If we are able to resell your tickets, the money will ONLY be returned to you via the original payment method used to make the booking, after the resale has taken place. We will then contact you as soon as practicable to confirm the resale.
Terms and Conditions:
- We can only resell tickets that have been booked directly via Lincoln Drill Hall.
- Returns will only be offered for sale once all other tickets have been sold for that performance.
- The resale of tickets is final and once sold cannot be retracted.
- Returns will only be sold via the box office and are not available online.
- No agent or third-party bookings will be resold/refunded by Lincoln Drill Hall.
- You must be the cardholder.
- ONLY Credit/Debit card or cash bookings can be re-sold. No cheque, gift voucher or split payment bookings will be accepted.
- Cash resales must be collected from the box office during our opening hours.
- You will only be contacted if the tickets are resold.
- There is NO GUARANTEE that any tickets put up for resale will be sold.
- In exceptional circumstances Lincoln Drill Hall reserves the right to move patrons into unoccupied seats.
